We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Royal Cactus. The staff were friendly and efficient. We were a bit bemused by the bell boy who insisted on taking our bags a few yards to our room and would not go until we gave him a tip. It was like a 70's sitcom. We ended up giving a larger than normal tip as we did not have any smaller notes. There was a lovely water channel outside our room and a water station nearby which was useful. The toiletries were very nice and we also had a free mini bar. The hotel is very clean and the grounds well maintained. The food was a very high quality and the cakes etc beautifully presented. The staff in the restaurant were very pleasant. There was a Dr there 6 days a week. We were less impressed with the Spa. The indoor pool was very cold and you had to wear shoes and dry yourself between being in the pool and going to the steam room etc. as well as having a shower in between also. It was very strict and not relaxed. We went with TUI and there was no welcome meeting. We spoke to some German representatives who were not that helpful or pleasant. The times for our reps visits were wrong and when we did meet her she could not answer any of our questions.

Anfang Oktober 2 Wochen All inkl. Reichhaltiges und schmackhaftes Buffet. Zwischen den Mahlzeiten Snacks an der Poolbar. Immer freie Liegen an einem der Pools. Abends Showprogramm bis max. 23:00 Uhr. Allerdings war dafür die Beleuchtung und der Sound sehr schlecht. Da sollte das Hotel etwas in eine ordentliche Bühne mit Musikanlage investieren - auch als Wertschätzung für die Künstler. Es war immer und überall sehr sauber und aufgeräumt. Alle vom Personal waren freundlich, hilfsbereit und haben einen echt guten Job gemacht!! We love this place for their poke-bowls with salmon and now tuna, they get the sushi style rice perfectly right and the flavour balance is always on point. Their breakfasts are very generous in portion size and combination of ingredients. The only menu option we never tried throughout the years are pancakes, maybe one day. Weekend breakfast/brunch time is a bit too many people, we prefer coming here at awkward hours.

Good value for the money, tasty food and nice atmosphere. We had a very good time dining in this tavern during our trip to Lofou. The food was delicious and we will definitely be visiting this place again in the future

Nice setting but the food was disappointing for the price. We ordered two mezedes and a chicken dish. Most of the meze dishes were quite average, the salad wasn’t great, the meat was just okay, though the beef liver was nice. The makaronia tou fournou were especially poor and should probably be removed from the meze. Overall, nothing special, better to order a single meat dish instead. We had two soft drinks, a quarter of zivania, a beer, and a bottle of water — total €96.20. Not great value, unfortunately. Sorry to say
