Based on a true story, our story. It was a hot early Greek summer evening in late June 2019 when my wife and I arrived in our car at the entrance of our first-time-booked-hotel named Antigon Hotel in Thessaloniki. We had been driving for eight hours through sea sides, glens, mountains and towns on business and a tiny bit of pleasure. After battling with city traffic and dubious GPS instructions we pulled aside the designated parking space of the hotel. We really had no idea what to expect. Let's face it; true customer-centered service is an elusive experience. Instantly, two well-groomed men in hotel attire approached us. One offering to take our suitcases and the other offering to park our car at the hotel's private parking area, while speaking perfect English. "Welcome to the Antigon" they both said. Naturally, tired and worn by our road trip, we succumbed to their 'offerings'. "What a relief" I spoke silently in my mind. We walked to the perfectly air-conditioned front desk where Alexandra, with a genuine smile, welcomed us again. At this point, I had already gone, happily, speechless, figuratively. Within a few minutes, maybe just one, we were summoned by a voice in the background offering two glasses of iced orange juice. Our suspicious and ever-alert minds, when it comes to customer service, looked at the man, glanced at the glasses on his tray, and despite our customary cynical response, we gulped down the juice drinks as if we were gods of Olympus. At that point we knew there was something different about this hotel; and it wasn't just the empowering scent of cleanliness that prevailed in the air. Upon the ending of the check-in ritual, we were accompanied to our room. If you have ever seen, imagined or dreamed of an oasis, that's how we felt. No exaggeration. Like pilgrims to a divine shrine, we thrillingly passed through the threshold of the door to discover a real oasis; a beautiful room, emanating comfort, success and importance. Scented perfumes, scented shampoos and body washes in accord with a fluffy king-size bed, discrete lighting, state of the art coffee maker and a soothing ambiance all around. But it doesn't end there. Room service, from ice cubes and extra pillows to more towels, were a click-of-a-nine away (you dial nine for room service). And then comes the next day, breakfast; all included. Seamlessly in tune with the rest. Coffee of your choice, fruit, bread, cold cuts, eggs and an abundance of local delicacies catered to you in less than a minute, with a smile. No pretentious smiles. Pure hospitality at its best. The bottom line, you may wonder; being treated like a VIP no matter who you are or where you come from. This hotel is dedicated to just that.

I stayed at this hotel during a conference in Thessaloniki. The staff person whom I had contact with throughout my stay was a very kind woman who truly made an effort to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. The place is very aesthetic, and the restaurant is beautiful, with a glass floor showcasing some ancient ruins right underneath the dining area. Breakfast was superb. My only reservations are that the room was a bit small and that at night there were some sewage odors coming out of the toilet. (It wasn’t noticeable when the toilet seat was down). Other than that, the bed was super comfortable, the bathroom luxurious, and I even had a balcony. The staff are extremely hospitable. I would definitely return.

A perfect location just 7 minutes walk from the city center as well as helpful stuff - from the hotel manager Kiki to the last employee, we enjoyed this hotel very much The room we got was clean, any request we had immediately answered with a smile (; Once we arrived to the hotel we knew it is going to be a wonderful stay - the valet service, the wet towels, the drinks we got, the welcome from Kiki everything exact as we expected from 5 star hotel! Breakfasts are reach and served in a bountiful place. Once we realized this hotel is part of the leading hotel network we understood everything Next time in Thessalonika - we definitely will choose this hotel

There was an a la carte breakfast included in the price. The staff were extra helpful and friendly. - Had to pay for coffee pods in the room, unlike other hotels that provide it free.
