Mayor Mon Repos Palace Art Hotel
on via HolidayCheck

Betten in Ordnung, geschmackvolle Ausstattung ansonsten.

If your thinking of staying in Corfu town then this is the hotel for you. A wonderful boutquie hotel situated at the quite end of the houbour. With great views. Town is a short walk away. There is also a beach club, 5 mins away. The hotel is well run, comfortable and the staff can not do enough to help you. The la a carte menu is something special and not to be missed. I cant wait to go back..

Stayed here on a business trip, good location, not far from airport and walkable to Corfu Town. Located on seafront with good nearby restaurants. Great staff and comfortable rooms. Small outdoor pool. Great breakfasts.

My mother and I had a truly wonderful stay at the hotel from beginning to end. All staff we came across could not have been more friendly and welcoming. The restaurant staff in particular were incredible, so attentive and a delight to speak to everyday. In particular, I would like to thank the restaurant staff we came across more frequently - Kostas, Alexandra and Dionisis. All of the staff though were absolutely top class, went way above standard. Otherwise, the room was perfect with excellent views. We enjoyed a 25 min stroll into town many times and walked to and from the airport which took only 15 minutes. Though the pool is small we did not find this an issue as the sea is so accessible should you want to swim further.

At check in for our five night stay we were taken aback by dated lobby, baat, lounge and restaurant along with drab pool. However, large clean rooms with nice balcony and spectacular view of sea (rooms 228 and 231) warmed us up to Mayor Mons. Solid breakfast and super friendly staff (Katarena and Vasia!!) Brought us to five stars.

A Lovely hotel in a great location,10 minutes from the airport, 10 minutes from the old town. Superb staff, every one of them is polite and helpful. Excellent food, lots of choice for breakfast and superb dinners. All in all a very comfortable and relaxing place to stay.

Breakfast and dinner were fantastic. Highly recommend paying for it. Very annoying that you cannot check in until 3pm though. Was able to leave luggage at the hotel though.

This is our second stay at this hotel and it is still amazing. I have recently been diagnosed as Coeliac and the staff could not have done any more to make me feel normal. Gluten free bread was available every morning and the chef even walked me around to tell me what I could have. Truly amazing staff in particular Iris and Isabella and the maitre de.

We very much enjoyed our stay - it was a lovely touch to receive sparkling wine and a face towel at check in. Breakfast and the buffet dinner were excellent, with plenty of Greek touches (such as Greek coffee at breakfast, made on a bed of sand). The only thing that stopped me giving the top mark was the "side sea view" in our room (115). Although we could see the Old Fort between the buildings, the sea was only vaguely visible at one side of the balcony, and certainly not from the room itself, so thought that was very misleading. On the plus side, it was nice and quiet and you'd certainly never know you were about a mile away from an airport! One bizarre design feature was some rather annoying net curtains between the bed and bedside table which got in the way a little. A mirror above the table would have been welcome as would some drawers. By European standards, the room is a regular size – and unusually in Greece, there wasn’t a warning about flushing toilet paper. The TV had two English language channels, BBC World News and Euronews. Wifi in the room was fine – on our phones, you needed to go to a site before logging in, the receptionist helped us the first time, and after that, it was easy. Oh yes - we had a haunted kettle! Do be careful - it had a habit of coming on all on its own, so we kept it unplugged when we weren’t using it! Getting into town on the bus was easy, with a 20 minute service very useful on a hot day. It’s 50c cheaper to buy tickets in advance from the kiosk across the road than on the bus, although they seemed to sell out by the evening. The hotel is very near the Mon Repos Palace - a definite must see and best to get the combination ticket (€7 for over 65s) which covers most of the main museums and along with being interesting, provide much needed shade on a sunny day! Most evenings, after dinner, we'd simply sit with the locals on the pier by the windmill and watch the world go by. It was really lovely. We had an excellent time and would recommend the hotel – it’s well located and the staff are excellent.

Great place to stay, just needs more attention to detail. Bathrooms need an upgrade and pool too shallow and needs updating.

. Allerdings teilweise etwas in die Jahre gekommen.Ein typisches Hotel für Gruppen Reisen. Kleiner Strand über der Strasse.

All in all, it is a good 3star hotel, not a 4. The price and value are not equal. The center is 30-35 minutes for walk. Far away. The bathroom is old and small. The cleanness is not the best. - The staff was really helpful, and friendly. We arrived at the morning and they offered to us a free breakfast, nice. The hotel close to the good beach. The bed was extrem big.
